Watching trees better for kids than TV

February 14, 2010 by admin

Cool Tree House(SMH) Young children benefit more from sitting in the kitchen watching their parents cook, or looking out a window, than watching television, a researcher says. Dr Kylie Hesketh, of Deakin University, has been running a trial program in Melbourne with 550 first-time parents, looking at children's health including sedentary behaviour. [..] She said preliminary results from her program showed parents tended to give their children less time in front of TV after learning about alternatives. "Children don't need it," Dr Hesketh said. read more

We agree, TV sucks!! We haven't watched that "programing" boob tube in five years. It took about three weeks to break the dependence, but now it's off (until they put Kingswood Country back on) we feel great. Looking at trees is much cooler, especially big ones with houses in them. full tree house image

TV violence fuels nastier bar brawls

February 10, 2010 by admin

MTV Australia Illuminati(SMH) HOTELIERS have told a federal government inquiry into youth violence that pub brawls had not increased but attacks were more vicious and visible. The Australian Hotels Association said generation Y drinkers had been raised on TV violence but lacked the empathy that a thumping in the school ground had instilled in previous generations. ''We are getting people … going out having shaved, showered and slipping a knife in the pocket, which is a very strange attitude to going out and having a good time,'' the association's national president, Thomas McGuire, said. [..] The association's chief executive, Bill Healey, acknowledged.."These kids have been, on the one hand, exposed to substantial amounts of violence in what they see on TV and video games … but they [have] not actually experienced a lot of pain. They don't get kicked at school - the empathy factor of knowing how it feels.'' read more

Australian SmileyThe state government announced on Saturday that teachers would be able to access the legal and health records of violent youngsters from a number of NSW government agencies. Public school teachers are now also lawyers and doctors? Have children changed in the last 52 years since 'Smiley' due to modern MTV, Harry Potter, Immigration and Hollywood horror crap trap predictive Tavistock reprogramming, or is everything just fine and dandy like it was in the good old days?

The Daily Mercury: "Flouride not a risk to babies"

December 19, 2009 by admin

The Daily Mercury: "Flouride not a risk to babies" "PARENTS shouldn’t be fearful of adding fluoride to their baby’s formula, Queensland Health says. There have been concerns that the practice can increase the risk of dental fluorosis as some formulas contain a relatively high amount of fluoride. However, research by Queensland Health Scientific Services shows that infant formulas commercially available in Australia contain low levels of fluoride." read more and please vote on the MSN poll that is 55% against

The 'Daily Mercury' left out a few 'safe level' pointers... *Babies powdered formula is not eaten dry. *Most town water added to babies formula is also fluorinated. *Fluoride added to our publics drinking water is "mass medication" *At bath / shower time we absorb fluoride through skin and lungs (via steam) *Fluoride is in other foods like bread etc *Fluoride allows toxic metals to enter the brain. *Communist Russians and Nazi Germans used this tool to dumb people down into sheeple. * MSN bleat questions about teeth "concerns" only leaving out internal effects of this mass medication. learn more

Govt backs down on homebirth legislation

December 15, 2009 by admin

"The federal government has backed down on controversial legislation that would have seen homebirthing effectively made illegal. Labor introduced a suite of bills to parliament in June which proposed, among other things, to establish a national midwifery register. Under the draft laws, midwives must be insured to join the register but private insurers no longer provide cover for homebirthing and the government has also refused to subsidise professional indemnity for homebirth claims." read more

Would this be the same loving government that allows "91,000" abortions in Australia each year? Or is this the left wing on the same new world odor bird that's working a 10 plank script to break up the Christian family unit?
