SherlockThe public is supposed to help with that limited information? When we first read the SMH headline we pictured tough guys called the Grave Digger's on Harley's. Let's decode this a bit more. Start with the names of the victim and the accused. Using FaceBook (finally found a use for that data collection front) as a guide. People with names like Van Ly would be, and/or look Asian? Using FaceBook again, people with names like Atai would be, and/or look Arabic? Providing our laymen investigation technique is correct, the pubic are supposed to be on the look out for "notorious outlaw motorcycle gangland-style" Asian and Arabic bikers, in Australia? Neo-Multiculturalism is turning Oceania Australia into a 1948-2010 version of Palestinian versus Israel. Remember that old saying, "Good fences make good neighbours"?

W.A approves [Monsanto] GM canola

January 26, 2010 by admin

(SHM) Western Australia has become the third Australian state [with Vic and NSW] to allow farmers to grow genetically modified (GM) canola. Agriculture and Food Minister Terry Redman on Monday approved an exemption order under the Genetically Modified Crops Free Areas Act 2003 to permit cultivation of the GM crop. [...] He said there had been 11 "minor events" during the delivery of more than 1200 tonnes of GM canola to receiving sites during the trials.[...] Opposition agriculture Minister Mick Murray said the decision would have negative long-term economic and social impacts on WA that could not be reversed. "WA's green, GM-free image has been lost forever," Mr Murray said. [...] Greens MP Lynn MacLaren said farmers and consumers would both lose from the decision. [...] "The trial results and experience in the eastern states have proven it is not possible to segregate. "Farmers will cop the brunt of this poor decision by having to pay to try to keep their non-GMO crops free from contamination. READ MORE

Rees adviser gets $135,000 payout

December 17, 2009 by admin

"Rees adviser gets $135,000 payout" "GRAEME WEDDERBURN, Nathan Rees's chief of staff, has been given a taxpayer-funded payout greater than $135,000 after serving just 10 months in the job. He was sacked by the new Premier, Kristina Keneally, last week. Mr Wedderburn's record salary as Mr Rees's chief of staff was in excess of $300,000, Labor sources have confirmed. His $270,000 salary was topped up by the party's head office. His contract ensured he would be paid half of his annual salary if his contract was severed. The deal was negotiated with Mr Rees and the former premier Bob Carr, government sources confirmed." read more

Well then, seeing as how it was Rees and Carr that hired that poor performer, how about Rees and Carr pay Wedderburn with money out of their own private pockets? Ow don't mind me, I'm just fantasising about a fair Australian system where political mechanics that don't fix your state's car, don't get paid.
