(SMH) ENVIRONMENT Minister Peter Garrett has urged the insulation industry to come forward with details of cheap imported insulation products said to contain a toxic chemical. Mr Garrett, said Australian standards applied to all insulation materials and there was no provision for the use of any product that failed to meet those requirements. He had discussed with the industry the issue of imported polyester insulation said to contain high levels of formaldehyde. read more
