AN IMMIGRATION speech by the Opposition Leader, Tony Abbott, has been criticised as divisive, hurtful and deliberately crafted to push buttons and play the race card before Australia Day. Human rights advocates and politicians have criticised the speech Mr Abbott delivered to the Australia Day Council in Melbourne, in which he suggested there was an anxiety among Australians ''that the great prize of Australian citizenship is insufficiently appreciated and given away too lightly''. read more
Abbott might find more friends if he assimilates with the global warming lingo. Tony, change the word "immigrants" to "CO2 carbon foot prints"! Australia's low 1.92 fertility rate is a driver behind the import of foreign CO2 carbon foot prints. This is your fault Australia!! The governclowns wanted to pay us $5000 per baby in an attempt to get our Australian numbers over the much needed 2.1 number keeping us alive. You left your pants on, and now we have "CO2 carbon foot prints" from New Zealand, China, India etc coming in to do the job we didn't. 91,000+ Aussie babies being ripped apart each year doesn't help much either. (Abbott has three daughters)
