(SMH) Skippy has knocked out Matilda the Boxing Kangaroo, as well as Phar Lap and Fatso the Wombat to be voted Australia's most iconic animal. A total of 836 people responded to an online VetShopAustralia survey, with Skippy the Bush Kangaroo attracting the most votes - 29 per cent of votes. Legendary racehorse Phar Lap was second with 21 per cent of votes. read more
Considering Skippy is still so popular, do you suppose free to air networks will put the Skippy children's TV show back on, or just stick with the soul sucking Worst Witch(craft) programming?

What about the fact that Phar Lap was NZ born! And so was one of the other contenders, the dog that says "bugger" in the Toyota ad!
