Perth: Stop the Filter Rally

Saturday, 06 March 2010 Stop the Filter is organising this event to express our opposition to the introduction of a national mandatory internet filter. It will be held on Saturday, the 6th of March at 12 noon (venue tba), as part of a National Day of Action initiated by Block the Filter.org. Greens Senator Scott Ludlam is a confirmed speaker. Please join us to be informed and help inform others. If you would like to help organise this event, are part of a performing group who could do something internet censorship-related on the day, or be part of an ongoing campaign against the proposed filter..facebook users click here for more infomation and /or go to wearechangewa.com.

As well as Senator Scott Ludlam, other speakers at the rally will be Dr Mark Kent, an IT Studies lecturer from Curtin University; Foad, an Iranian Activist; Ben Peterson from the Socialist Alliance and Mark Walmsley WA President of the Liberal Democratic Party;
