Murder victims’ families join Derryn Hinch on Jail to Justice walk


Almost 130,000 signatures

(Herald Sun) The parents of several high profile murder victims joined media personality Derryn Hinch on the final stretch of his Jail to Justice walk today. The walk began on May 17 from Langi Kal Kal prison to coincide with Mr Hinch’s petition for a public register of convicted sex offenders. The last 5km leg of the 160km walk ran from Brunswick — where Jill Meagher was murdered in September 2012 — and finished at Parliament House, where a petition of nearly 130,000 signatures was handed over to the State Government.
